Who's in the mood for some good news? You are! And we've got it. The third bottle in our power trio is upon us. And they got a bigger dressing room than the puppets!

The third installment in our Direct From Hell Rockumentary series is hereby unleashed. The album is finally available, despite some issues with the cover. We're proud(ish) to present...

What is that in the beaver's pants? Will he get through airport security? These are really important questions...

The oldest in our run, Barrel #5512265, was distilled November 2008! It's likely at or close to 11 years old, but was 10 years when we picked it! This one is from Warehouse GG, 5th floor, back at the Deatsville rickhouse. This one is more similar to "SMELL", the first barrel. Maybe there is a noticeable difference between the Heaven Hill locations, or maybe it's a coincidence. Hard to tell. But anyway this has the super rich, oaky, chocolatey notes we loved in #1. The nose absolutely crushes it with root beer, pipe tobacco, leather polish, beautiful chocolates and vanilla notes, like a vanilla ice cream root beer float! The mouthfeel is lovely and oily, with punches of wood & baking spices. If finishes with a wonderful combination of sweets, spices, and wood, really a remarkable all-in-all result for such an affordable, and relatively low-proof bourbon. What can we say these folks at Heaven Hill know what's up with choice barrels offered at an impossible-to-beat price with all the flavor and dopeness we crave in bourbon.
