Every hero needs a villain. And for our furry, dreamy, 8-pack wielding, tail-wagging superhero Barrel Beaver, his enemy is a nefarious tyrant of epic porportions. Sneaking his way into the rickhouses of the world, the vile, sinister, evil, conniving Master Blender wants to steal the choicest of whiskey barrels and have his way with them.

"Fourteen year single barrel bourbon? While I'll take this fine treasure and blend it with grain spirits! MUHAHAHAHA" cackles Master Blender. "Then I'll finish it in a tank of Kool Aid." His mixing bowl starts to spin excitedly. "You won't even know it was bourbon when I'm done with it!"

More machine than beast, nothing is off-limits from the vile clutches of Master Blender. Straight rye in a red wine cask? Done it. Pure Kentucky bourbon mixed with Diet Mountain Dew? Daily drinker!

For now, enjoy this stellar treat from Knob Creek. The second in our three-part Barrel Beaver series, this out-of-this-world fourteen year bad-boy is right on the money. Barrel #9681A is similar to the previous release. It's got all the lovely tree bark, sarsaparilla, vanilla, and deep spices. This one is a bit punchier, with a real deep kick of char, bourbon power, and syrup. Again, sitting at 120 proof is just where these incredible bourbons need to be, they're incredibly smooth and drinkable and anything less would have lost some of the beauty. The palate is oily and so so deep, coating your mouth in all that wonderful viscosity and spice. And the finish goes on for miles.
