We were able to get our hands on another small allotment of this stunner of a rum from Homes Cay. While we couldn’t get a whole cask - there are only two casks of this in the whole of the USA - we wanted to give you all a chance to taste this ultra uniquely delicious, ultra artisanal, entirely estate produced and aged, South African rum from the Mhoba distillery. This absolutely wild, mind-blowing funky BANANA BOMB of a rum is back after not being available for a few years. Like all Mhoba rums, this is made from fresh-pressed cane juice, long-fermented with wild yeast and distilled on Mhoba’s signature pot stills.

The nose is deep deep funky overripe bananas, vanilla and caramel with a touch of minty freshness. On the tongue it’s got loads of funky banana, with buttery, briny, peppery notes that give you a feeling of drinking a spicy banana bread. The finish has more sweetness, almost like a banana cotton candy with a hint of mint or eucalyptus. It's really wild and almost impossible to describe with words.
