It’s here! Our one and only 2025 Wild Turkey Russell’s Reserve barrel!

When you’ve picked barrels in Wild Turkey’s Rickhouse A, you seriously have been to heaven. It’s a warehouse that was built in the 1890s. It’s at the bottom of the big hill on which stands Turkey’s mighty distillery and warehouses. It’s got lots of cobwebs, a century of character, and a killer view.

So we’re always sentimental for Tyrone A barrels that spent their formative years in this heavenly locale. And we think they’re usually the best Turkeys.

This pick was an absolute no brainer for us. The nose is like spicy chocolate. Really rich and backed with beautiful oak, cocoa, chiles, mint. Like a spicy bbq just smoldering with juicy bits of meat and char and sweet sauce.

The palette is wild oily, thick, juicy and viscous just how we like it.

And that finish goes on for miles. All the oak and sweetness and spice coming together for an absolute gem of a bourbon. Man we love Wild Turkey and this is a really good one!

Only 132 bottles came out of this bad boy total, and it’s all we’re getting for the year so as we say “if you blink it will stink!”
